The anti-camera bet
Every camera-glasses conversation eventually hits the same wall: the people around you. G2 leaves out the camera, but camera-free does not mean audio-free. Its four microphones support features including Conversate. When you activate a session, speech goes to cloud services for transcription and AI processing. Inform participants, obtain any required consent, and follow workplace rules.
What you get instead is a monochrome green text display floating at reading distance, visible only to you. Terminal-green, minimal, and honestly kind of beautiful. Notes, translations, turn-by-turn, and a teleprompter.
Who this is actually for
People who present, sell, or run meetings. Glancing at speaker notes while keeping eye contact is the killer feature — it's the confidence of knowing your next point without looking down at anything.
If you want photos, video, and audio playback in frames, that's the Ray-Ban Meta lane. G2 offers a display and microphone-based features instead. Even says original audio is deleted after transcription unless you opt into the relevant improvement program; transcripts and summaries can remain in your records. Check the controls and policy before using it for sensitive conversations.
